***3/2/25 I spend about RM10 a day on cigarette

To be rich, I either make more money or spend less:

if 1 box of 12 cigarettes is RM8, and I smoke 16 sticks a day. How much is that a month and and year?

Let’s break this down step by step:

Given:

  • 1 box of cigarettes = 12 sticks

  • Cost per box = RM 8

  • Smoking rate = 16 sticks per day

Step 1: Calculate the number of boxes needed per day

You smoke 16 sticks per day, and each box contains 12 sticks.

Boxes per day=16 sticks12 sticks/box=1.333 boxes/day

Step 2: Calculate the daily cost

Each box costs RM 8.

Daily cost=1.333 boxes/day×RM8/box=RM10.67/day

Step 3: Calculate the monthly cost

Assuming a month has 30 days:

Monthly cost=RM10.67/day×30 days=RM320/month

Step 4: Calculate the yearly cost

Assuming a year has 365 days:

Yearly cost=RM10.67/day×365 days=RM3,895.55/year

Final Answer:

  • Monthly cost = RM 320

  • Yearly cost = RM 3,895.55

Let me know if you'd like further clarification! 😊
